NYE crowds seen from Sydney Harbour Bridge

I'm not really into the whole fireworks thing for New Year's Eve. So I didn't go to watch the show over Sydney Harbour at midnight.

However, I did go to Milson's Point at around 5 PM and walked across the bridge. It was quite a sight. Got some photos that give you a sense of the sheer scale of the event.

This was the crowd going into Bradfield Park ... Not surprisingly, the local bottleshop was very popular.

Walking south across the Sydney Harbour Bridge gave me a bird's eye view of the scene.

With so many people in such a comparatively small area lots of portaloos were required!

It was a humid and overcast day. And conditions looked pretty ominous when I was there. It did rain a bit but didn't bucket down.

Glad things turned out as they did. There were just so many people there, and I doubt many would have come prepared for a deluge. And I suspect the fireworks themselves could have been severely affected.

I crossed the bridge and looked out over the most popular and crowded location for viewing the fireworks, Circular Quay and surrounds.
